Effective October 11, 2026
Your trips. Your choices.
This policy describes how PookieBSnow uses information when you check mountain conditions, plan outings, or participate in the community.
Information the service receives
- Account and profile: email address, name if provided, username, profile description, account identifiers, and sign-in information.
- Community content: comments, check-ins, uploaded photos and avatars, reports, blocks, event details, attendance choices, date-poll votes, and carpool arrangements.
- Preferences and notifications: saved mountains, alert preferences, and an Apple device push token if you enable notifications. A check-in or event can associate your account with a mountain or meeting place.
- Service protection: request and error information used for access control, rate limits, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We use a keyed digest for distributed request quotas rather than storing raw account or network identifiers in the quota table.
When you allow location access, the app uses your device location to find nearby mountains and estimate distances. Community location information you choose to publish, such as a mountain check-in or meeting place, is separate from that device permission.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to operate accounts, load conditions, coordinate outings, deliver requested alerts, review community content, and keep the service reliable. Public profile details and approved public community posts can be visible to other people. Private event content requires the relevant access. Photos and avatars awaiting review are restricted; owner previews and authorized moderation use temporary signed links.
Service providers include Supabase for account and data services, Vercel and AWS for hosting and scheduled work, and Apple for Sign in with Apple and push notifications. Optional AI services, when configured, may process prompts or mountain summary requests. Provider availability is disclosed in the feature. Do not include sensitive personal information in an AI prompt.
PookieBSnow does not use your information for advertising tracking, and the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Your controls
You can edit your profile, manage alert preferences, deny location permission, turn off notifications in iOS Settings, report content, and manage blocked members in Profile settings. Contact contact@pookieb.com with a privacy request.
Deleting your PookieBSnow account
Open Profile, then Settings, then Account, and choose Delete Account. The service removes your PookieBSnow profile, owned content, preferences, and app-owned media through a retriable cleanup process, and revokes the stored PookieBSnow Apple authorization where applicable. If cleanup cannot finish, the app reports the failure so you can retry.
Authentication is shared with another service, Dispatch. Deleting PookieBSnow keeps that shared sign-in identity available for other apps. Older avatar files in shared storage may be retained when their ownership cannot safely be separated from another app. The deletion flow reports retained shared media.
Security records, provider backups, and information needed to investigate abuse can persist beyond removal from the active app. We do not promise a fixed erasure period for provider backups. Contact us if a retained shared file needs review.
